Talk by Lis Mann on Friday 1st February

Lis's talk will give an overview of some 20th century fine artists who were influenced by textiles, and who in turn have provided inspiration for Lis's own work.

Lis obtained a Diploma in Stitched Textiles, and gained a BA and MA in Fine Art.  She says she is an eclectic artist who chooses to use whatever medium feels appropriate to her choice of subject. Her passion is to encourage creativity in people of any age.

Lis mentors a group of 14 artists, who meet four times a year to support and encourage each other, and also runs a wide variety of workshops for art societies, local groups and the Embroiderers' Guild, encompassing many creative subjects and themes.  This talk links to the workshop on 2nd February.
